It was in 1992 when the very young Christian Hofer from Oberlienz joined the Parkhotel kitchen crew as an apprentice. These were early years for him and for the Parkhotel. Christian brought a lot of talent, a lot of calm and level-headedness and had great chefs in front of him during his apprenticeship from whom he was able to optimally learn fine, French-inspired cuisine.
After his apprenticeship, he quickly worked his way up to a variety of positions up to sous chef - 16 years later, he took over responsibility for the Parkhotel kitchen as head chef.
Christian's kitchen line has proven itself over the years, together with his team time does not stand still, at the same time everything remains as good as always and high quality as always - and yet he and his crew continue to surprise our guests with new ideas - new menus every day, a great à la carte selection and prepares them with a lot of taste and high quality.

Marie Theres Kreuzer is a qualified sommelier; she enjoys travelling to a wide variety of wine regions herself and has a particular fondness for purist wines – please do ask. Our house bar and the lobby invite you to have nice conversations and social gatherings on both winter and summer evenings. Let Wayne's signature cocktails accompany you through the evening and also taste the many regional fine spirits and international spirits. Wayne knows how to make great drinks and has a wealth of knowledge about the origins and history of each drink.
The desserts flambéed at the table – apricots or crêpes suzette, served with homemade vanilla ice cream – are considered a particular speciality and are a delight in every respect. Flambéing has a long tradition at the Parkhotel; indeed, it was none other than Josef Kreuzer himself who can look back on a 60-year ‘flambéing anniversary’.
Back then – in the 1960s – he mastered the art of flambéing, and this very special task performed in front of guests accompanied him throughout his working life. “Pepi, make us a flambé,” they would say, and he was always happy to oblige. Today, Marie Theres gets to wield the flambé pan and, like her father, relishes this wonderful task.
