Excellent cuisine has long been a first priority at the Parkhotel. Gourmet meals are served by highly trained staff in our cosy Tyrolean-style restaurant as well as on the large terrace overlooking the lake. Our menu offers a wide choice of local and international meat specialities, and we are also proud to serve fresh fish like Zander (pike-perch), pike, catfish, carp, trout and char from the clear waters of our own spring water ponds. Therefore, varied and healthy nutrition can be guaranteed. A wide selection of the finest wines, with many choice examples from Austrian and Italian vineyards, complement our fine food and please even the most discerning palate.

Our culinary week

For years our gastronomic efforts have been rewarded by commendations in various guides, culminating in the award of 2 bonnets (15 points) in Gault Millau. Our restaurant also appears in the gourmet guide A la Carte as one of the best in Austria.

The restaurant of the Gourmet-Parkhotel is in many ways reminiscent of the fine addresses on the Carinthian bathing lakes: lying directly on Tristach lake, it allows guests a view of curling in Winter and ramblers and fishermen in Summer. And the atmosphere, too, makes an association with the Wörther lake almost unavoidable. After a complimentary starter of roast prawns with lobster crisps, we were warmed up by a creamy parmesan soup with breaded lamb dumpling. Although a little more cheese aroma would not have harmed the soup, all in all it was a pleasant change from everyday soups. The excellent blackroot risotto with filet of trout was an extremely pleasant bridge to the next course, carp steamed in a bamboo basket, which turned out to be a welcome re-interpretation of this classic. Thanks to the steaming, the fish arrived at the table almost fat-free and had a pleasantly spicy note from the accompanying horseradish and fennel. The home-made amaretto ice-cream left no lasting memory due to its lack of sweetness and almond taste.

The lake studios, suites and appartments of the child-friendly hotel are all South and lake facing and ooze an unmistakable flair. A further plus: because of the quiet position one‘s stay here is protected from street noise and other negative environmental influences. A further priviledge is offered by the hotel’s own Maximilian spring, which promises thirsty holidaymakers reviving refreshment around the clock.

High level of culinary art, creativity and quality.
